Role Overview 

The Technical Senior Tax Manager is a senior internal-facing role focused on technical tax excellence, education, and knowledge management. This role provides advanced technical support to the Tax and Assurance teams, with a limited client load. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Provide technical tax research and support to Tax and Assurance teams 
• Interpret legislation, CRA guidance, and case law 
• Prepare and review internal technical memoranda 
• Develop and maintain internal tax training curriculum 
•  Monitor new legislation and update training materials 
• Present internal training sessions and legislative updates 
• Support onboarding and technical development of staff 
•  Maintain a limited client portfolio focused on complex technical matters 

Qualifications

• CPA designation 
• In-Depth Tax Program completed 
• Senior-level public practice tax experience, 2+ years as Senior Tax Manager in public practice 
• Strong research and communication skills 
• Experience delivering technical training
